Power DA
Power DA
Power DA is a Desk Accessory launcher for Palm OS 5. Desk Accessories are useful little applications that can be opened and used while you are in another program. An example of this is a calculator DA that you can use while writing a memo. However, you need a launcher to open these. That is what Power DA lets you do.

Installation and Use
Installing Power DA is easy. After downloading and unzipping, install the PowerDA.PRC file as you would install any other software onto your device.
After HotSyncing, open Power DA on your device and tap on Active to activate the DA launcher.
You can choose a method for launching Power DA by selecting a new Launching Method.
Shortcut Toolbar - Use the shortcut graffiti stroke ( ) which will pop up the toolbar menu. Select DA on the right and Power DA will be launched.
Calc/Favorites - Use the Calc (or Favorites on some devices) button on the graffiti area to launch Power DA
Date Book - Uses the Date Book hardware button
Address - Uses the Address hardware button
To Do List - Uses the To Do List hardware button
Memo Pad - Uses the Memo Pad hardware button
The Screen Position selection lets you choose where on the screen the list of available DAs will show up when you launch Power DA.
Now, to save these preferences, exit Power DA by tapping on the Home button on the graffiti area. Open the DA list by performing what ever launching method you selected. You launch a DA by tapping once on its name from the list. If you have not installed any Desk Accessories, a dialog will come up and warn you of this.

There are a few good places to find DA applications. Note that not all of them may work under OS5, or there may be some quirky behavior while using them. Most should be fine though.

The Demo is fully functional for 7 days. After that, you must purchase it if you wish to continue using it.
If you perform a Warm Reset on your Palm, or if you find that Power DA is not being activated for some reason, then try going back into Power DA and tapping on the Active button again. This will re-activate Power DA. To deactivate Power DA, simply tap on the Inactive button.
